He Loves the Snow

Like the title of this post states, Evin does love the snow. I'm trying to tell him how awesome Spring will be, but he keeps hoping to wake up to snow. This day Scotty and I were sitting just inside the door as our adventurer was having fun right outside.

I've been collecting funny quotes from Evin, thought you might want to hear some of them...

Upon trying his first hotdog. - (organic mind you) "Evin me want a hotdog, me a guy."

Not sure where he got this from!? My husband doesn't grill in winter, and he's never had a hotdog before this. - "I want a hotdog on the fire, me a man, me Evin."

After falling down trying to walk over something - "Oh shoot, this is not working."

After walking into the kitchen upon waking. - "Me want a banana, I really like this morning time."

Conversation about taking a nap:
Me: Let's take a nap now.
Evin: How bout we watch a movie!
Me: No
Evin: Come on! It'll be fun!

"I'm getting so busy!"

While looking for me in the house. - "Buddy where are you?" (melt)

Tasting turkey for the first time. - "This tastes glorious!" (Where in the world?!  Must be spending too much time with his eloquent Aunt!)

Telling his brother about wearing underwear for the first time. - "Oh man this is great!"

"In the beginning God created trees....and grandma Porter"

Yep, keeps me laughing, and it's only going to get better! I can't wait!!

What does the Cow say?

Evin is very good at his animal noises now, especially his cow sound.
He was very happy to see some real 'moos' when we went up North for Christmas. It was a happy/sad trip for me, I knew very well it would prolly be the last time I got to visit my grandparent's farm. I had spent months of my childhood here, and it will be so hard to never see it in the same way again. Grandma sold the farm and is moving to town, we can't blame her, it's a lot of work and money to keep up a farm by yourself. In my selfishness I wish she would stay there forever though. I woke up early one day to take a walk one more time in the field. Here are a few of the images that will always be burned in my memory.

Our Little Christmas

Ok, this is the last Christmas post, I promise...I think.
We finally got to celebrate our little Christmas at home, bringing the count to 12 family celebrations.
"No, Evin, 12 family Christmas parties is not normal."

Our little woodsman.

This is "Anthony" my teddy bear I got when I was 2.

My boys

Evin is now getting up on all fours and scooting around our living room. Time to get a gate for the stairs.

All Evin wanted for Christmas was two front teeth...well that's what he got.
He kept us up most of the night, which he hasn't done since....well he's never done.
The next morning, sure enough there was his cute little tooth.
Now as of last night he has two teeth.

Hope all you Northerners are staying safe and warm with all this ice and snow.
By the way, it's a proven fact that you stay 27.4% warmer when wearing plaid flannel pants.
Ok, fine, I just made that up.
