Christmas and Valentine's Day

Ok, I admit, I really didn't feel like taking too many family pictures over the holidays. To be honest, I just wasn't feeling well for the last three months, and that's my excuse. Now that I am no longer feeling 'blah' with morning sickness I hope to be posting more on here.

Haha, we still haven't had our family Christmas, that tells you how 'blah' I actually felt. At least I decorated the house, aren't you proud of me. Here are a few decorations. And since a post just isn't the same without Evin's little face I'll also add in his Valentine's Day cards he gave out to the family. Which one do you like the best? He's actually pretty proud of them, it's hilarious. I had grand hopes of using more props, and poses, but this was as good as it was going to get that day. Life with kids...

Quite incriminating and embarrassing to say the least. But since I could use some humility and laughing is good for the soul I guess you can see.

Evin the Valentine Cherub

Ah! How can it be Friday already!? Oh well, I'm not complaining :)
I mentioned a second post, so here it is.

Okaaay, so I had this idea to do a little Valentine shoot with Evin where he was covered with kisses.

Well, let me tell you, it's not the easiest thing to do.

And anyone that can pull off a lipstick kiss on a baby has my admiration.

Poor kid, he looked like someone beat him up. Just pretend the marks look like kisses and know that we did not do any harm to our son.

This next picture has got the be the most disturbing image of myself I've ever put online. Positively scary.

And you can see why I don't wear red lipstick.

And I'll leave you with a less traumatizing image in your mind.
Unless of course it looks like the poor child is beat up, in that case...I just can't win.

Of Purple and Hearts: Birthday Party

And as I promised in my last post, here is the birthday party.

Sometimes getting ready for something is the funnest part for me. I enjoy the creative process behind an event that it is quite often my favorite part of the party.
(Don't get me wrong, I love hanging out with people and having parties!)

Well for this celebration I had a ton of fun helping to plan, and set up, but the party was super fun too!
We had a bunch of friends come over, yummy food, funny games, and I had a lovely time.

The food turned out so pretty, I could hardly stop taking pictures of it.

This week has been a big one for Evin!
He's been scooting for awhile now and he has always wanted to stand up and "walk" around, but this week he crawled for the first time and stood up on his own.
He just turned 6 months, half a year already! How can it be?!
I had a super awesome birthday weekend and I can't wait to show you some pictures!
