Children's Gifts : Wholehearted Creative

Hey everybody, and especially mommas and anyone who has a special baby they need to get a gift for this season!

Today I wanted to share some beautiful, well-made products that I can personally recommend to you all.

I love to highlight local shops or small businesses, especially during the Christmas shopping season so here we go.

I don't know about you but I can't have enough burp cloths during the newborn stage, they've saved my shoulders (and vistors' shoulders) countless times. And what's better than burp cloths that are made well with sweet and classy prints?

I gotta say I was very impressed by the quality and attention to detail as I opened my package from Wholehearted Creative! You can tell great care is taken with each piece and also with the packaging and instructions. 

Remy, my youngest, is cutting teeth right now, so I knew I needed to try out the teethers. Remy approves. And I approve because there are no chemicals going in my baby's mouth.

Porter Party of Five : Family Portraits

Now whenever I see a family portrait that looks half way decent with three young children and three young boys at that, I marvel. Good family photography is an art glorious to behold... I think I'll stick with weddings.
I always hoped I'd be that totally put together mom with all my children loving to take pictures with me, and I guess in the back of my mind I still hang on to the hope maybe on day my girl children with like pictures. But right now, the three year old, and one year old just aren't too into it. The three year old is getting better, he actually was excited about getting a picture with the baby, so maybe there's hope after all but I'm not counting the chickens yet.

The boys really love their new brother. Evin woke up the morning of Ransom's birth and was immediately happy to have new sibling. And once Scotty had made sure everyone knew all the blankets in the house were his he was good with the baby being here. I'm excited to see them become good friends as they grow up.
I always figured I'd have a girl first then a boy, or maybe a boy first and then a girl, or maybe two girls, but never did I think I'd be the mom with three boys first! But turns out I'm quite outnumbered, and I don't mind at all. I love these guys!

 

Ransom Alan : Newborn Pictures

Ransom has been a perfect baby for the last week and a half. He cried once when he was born and then only when he's hungry he lets out a few whimpers. I'm so thankful for his sweet, laid back spirit. God knows what each mommy needs. I'm not taking the peace for granted, but I sure am blessed with how the transition from two to three has been so far. I know it could change at any minute, but I'm not complaining for now. I'm also very thankful my mom has been able to help out since his birth, we'll see how it is when she leaves.

Grandma and Daddy took the boys out for lunch and Ransom and I had a little photo session together. Here are the official newborn pictures.
So far he has blue/gray eyes, brown hair, Uncle Andrew's hairline, Tim's nose (thank you Lord), my long arms and skin tone. It's amazing how much they change over a few days at this age!
